Amazon unveils a Prime perk for warehouse workers
You get a Prime membership! And you! Amazon will offer Prime benefits to U.S. workers in its fulfillment and transportation network for the first time starting next year. It’s also boosting average base pay by $1.50/hour, to more than $22/hour. The move comes as the Teamsters continue efforts to organize Amazon’s hourly workforce. Salaried employees aren’t included, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the benefit expand in the future. Read more.
