AMAZON STUDIO CHIEF FACES SEXUAL HARASSMENT CLAIMS
Amazon may be in hot water over claims that its TV and film studio chief made unwanted sexual remarks to a female producer. Tech news site The Information reports that Roy Price made un-welcomed comments to Isa Hackett, executive producer for "The Man in the High Castle," during a promotional event in July 2015. An investigation on the matter was opened soon after the incident took place. Ms. Hackett is the daughter of author Philip K. Dick, whose novel inspired "The Man in the High Castle" series.
UBER INVESTOR TAKES AIM AT BENCHMARK
Uber investor Shervin Pishevar takes yet another legal jab at Benchmark Capital. On Friday, he alleged the venture capital firm may have leaked confidential information. Pishevar is part of a group of board members trying to keep Benchmark from taking the Director title away from ex-CEO Travis Kalanick. His latest move an attempt to find out if the firm leaked parts of a report from former Attorney General Eric Holder on his investigation into allegations of sexual harassment at the company. It is the second legal action taken by Pishevar; on Thursday, he asked a judge to intervene in Benchmark's lawsuit against Kalanick.
QUALCOMM PRESIDENT TO STEP DOWN AT END OF YEAR
Qualcomm's president announced he will step down on Dec. 31 after a 17-year career. His successor is expected to be executive vice president Alex Rogers, who will report directly to CEO Steve Mollenkopf. Rogers first joined Qualcomm in 2001 and has been focused on technology, product strategy, compliance and relationship management.
