Amazon Products Flagged as Pesticides? Here's what to do...

Amazon recently began flagging thousands of products as pesticides, effectively shutting down sellers listings. If this happened to you, read on to learn what to do.

The reason this occurred is because Amazon settled a case with the EPA in order to require all sellers of pesticides to undergo training in order to continue selling their products. Amazon then algorithmically flagged any product in their system that even remotely resembled a pesticide or contained triggering keywords (including owl pellets and eczema clothing) and then made the listings inactive.

There are two simple options that you can undertake to fix this and get the listings back up. First, if your products ARE pesticides, then you need to take the test, plain and simple. Watch the videos, answer the questions and pass with a score of at least 80% (kind of low if you ask me for someone selling pesticides...)

If your products ARE NOT pesticides you have two options. 1) Contact seller support and ask them to escalate it to their internal team letting them know that your products are not pesticides, provide them with the ASIN's and a link to the manufacturer's website. 2) Just take the test anyways. It only takes about 20-25 minutes and once you pass your products will be activated within a couple hours.

Hopefully this helps you resolve your issue quickly. The challenge is real.
