While Amazon hasn’t officially announced when Prime Day will take place, they made an announcement in Seller Central stating that now is the time to prepare for the big sales event. Like previous years, Prime Day will likely take place in mid-July.

Three months might seem like more than enough time to get ready, but we agree — now is the time to get a leg up on your competition and prepare for Amazon Prime Day.

What retailers on Amazon can do to be ready for Prime Day in 2023

It’s critical to take action now to prepare your company for the anticipated increase in sales in order to fully benefit from the Amazon Prime Day event.

1. Provide Customer with a variety of discounts

Create special offers, discounts, and promotions on your product listings to persuade people to buy them on Prime Day.?

There are more discounts than Lightning Deals that you might offer on Prime Day. Additionally, sellers may provide what is known as a Prime Exclusive Discount.?

It will display a discounted price with the regular price checked out and the percentage saved. A Prime Exclusive Discount is one that is only available to Amazon Prime members. In Seller Central, select the Advertising tab > Prime Exclusive Discounts to configure a discount.

Keep a watch out for that in Seller Central around Prime Day week since it is typically when you may establish these deals.?

Coupons?

A coupon is the best way to let customers know you’re offering discounted prices because it shows up as a bright green tag next to the list price on the product detail page — customers can’t miss it, and they don’t have to go hunting for deals on a separate page.

Create a Promotion

Amazon sellers may create several deals in Seller Central, such as “buy one, get one free” or “buy one, get one 50% off.” Additionally, you may make unique social media discount coupons for Amazon that you can distribute to your audience or an influencer.?

If your FBA inventory runs out, your FBM offer will then go to the?Buy Box, as long as you have inventory available for the FBM offer.?

4. Improve the listings.?
