Amazon has just released a statement that they are pulling out of moving into Long Island City.

Each and every opponent should be hanging their heads in shame.

This one in a life time deal that would have thrown off billions in local revenues was scuttled by selfish, ignorant and uninformed activists.

25,000 jobs have just went elsewhere and with them all the revenue that would have gone into the local restaurants, bars, business support services, doctor and health care facilities. But no, the big mouths have killed the golden goose.

What a tragedy. That is the problem with activists who get a voice louder than they deserve.
