Amazon Merchandising? Never heard of him.

Too many brands are leaving money on the table when it comes to merchandising - and most of them do not even really understand what merchandising is. Merchandising is not having a beautiful, artsy A+ content or an image stack that is whimsical & pretty.
Merchandising is being tactical with what needs to be said to the shopper by using creative assets. When you pass a storefront and they have a window with items for display - are they just laying the products in the window?
No.
They are styling them on mannequins. They are dressing up the window for the season or holiday. They have thought provoking signs in the window to compel you to look & come in.
This is what needs to be done for your images & detail page on Amazon.
When shoppers go to Amazon, they are coming with two main things:
See the difference in the two?
NEED vs. WANT
For shoppers that are looking for the NEED items, you have to:
For shoppers that are looking for the WANT items, you have to:
That is merchandising.
Think benefits over features.
AlgaeCal Inc. does a FANTASTIC job of using tactical strategy with their main hero images and pushing the boundaries on Amazon's image guidelines. Risk/reward to the moon!
I also had a great time this week hopping on the Junglr live stream with Elizabeth Greene talking about how PPC and CVR pair together - and how this is KEY for brands to focus on.
She also is giving away (3) PPC Brand Launch Packages - literally massive value - for $0.
All you have to do is email [email protected] for more details to get submitted.
Spoiler: No - but also yes. BUT ONLY for this ONE reason here..
