Amazon Ads Kills It At #unboxed2022

Amazon Ads unBoxed 2022 killed it.

Yes, that’s a pun, because they hired The Killers to play a private concert for the event, and it was amazing. For that reason alone, I recommend going to unboxed ’23, but I’ll dive into a few other reasons it was worth it.

Beyond the concert, there was so much to take away from this fantastic conference at the Javits Center. This show had the highest production value I’ve ever seen in a conference or show. Amazon knows what they are doing, and it shows. After meeting with dozens of people, I feel like I am walking away with a lot of new knowledge that will add to the bottom line.

Amazon has unleashed many new features like Rewarded Sponsored Products, Video Creator, Amazon Pixel, and the Amazon Marketing Cloud among other items. Both CPG and B2B Business is a clear focus for Amazon in 2023, and it shows with their investment in these new features. Still being relatively new to Amazon selling, I feel like this is a great show for those both new and old to the platform.

The vibe at the show was not sales pitch-y, but instead was focused on ensuring you can learn and connect with others in a meaningful way. The mini sessions on the Connections Stage were a great way to learn snippets about vendors and what they offer, and then setup further meetings. The main stage covered critical topics like inclusion and diversity in your advertising. It was refreshing to see so much effort put into representation and ensuring that everyone has a voice on the platform.

There is a lot more in my copious pages of notes to still unbox, but I wanted to share some of my initial feedback of the show with my LinkedIn family.

PS - No trip to New York would be complete without a visit with Jacob Wasserman , and this one was no exception. He seems to always know the right spot to eat, and today delivered. I highly recommend Chirp on 34th Street!
