Amazon Ads API Updates

Learning Console Certification: Amazon Ads API

The new "Automate and scale with the Amazon Ads API is now live on the learning console. In this course, you will learn about the Amazon Ads application programming interface (API) that enables programmatic access for campaign management and reporting. While this course is designed for beginners, I suggest any programmer can check it out and earn a certification. Note: an account with the learning console is required for the link above.

Access valuable brand Stores insights from the Amazon Ads API

Amazon Ads introduced a new brand Stores insights API that you can use to programmatically to access Stores insights. These insights include performance metrics like number of store visitors, sales, orders, and page views. This information can be combined with other ads data for you to get holistic view of your Store’s performance.

Improve campaign impression delivery using the Sponsored Brands campaign insights API

Sponsored Brands campaign insights provides advertisers with new metrics and insights to inform Sponsored Brands campaign creation. This feature:

  • Provides search term impression share and search term impression rank for keywords.
  • Informs an advertiser if selected keywords have low search traffic.
  • Informs an advertiser if bids have a low probability of winning an auction.

Sponsored Brands version 4 campaign management APIs are now generally available

Sponsored Brands version 4 campaign management API functionality exited beta and into general availability status. Advertisers, agencies, and tool providers can leverage these APIs to create and manage their Amazon Sponsored Brands campaigns worldwide. You can generate create and manage ad group-based campaigns as well as legacy campaigns similar to the advertising console. To encourage adoption, the version 4 APIs follow the existing API pattern for Sponsored Products or Sponsored Display for campaign management. This functionality is available to advertisers, tool providers, and agencies that have self-service access to Sponsored Brands.

Worldwide support for Sponsored Display in Amazon Marketing Stream

Sponsored Display datasets are now available globally in Amazon Marketing Stream (beta). We are excited to expand the Sponsored Display datasets (sd-traffic and sd-conversion) in Amazon Marketing Stream (beta) to all countries currently supported by the Amazon Ads API. Amazon Marketing Stream delivers Amazon Ads campaign metrics and information to advertisers' or integrators' AWS accounts via a push-based model in near real time.
