Amazon Accelerate 2023 Highlights

In this article, I'm sharing some of the top highlights I found to be the most interesting at Amazon Accelerate 2023.

Three releases to help Amazon Sellers reduce costs and improve efficiency

1. Veeqo new pricing

Veeqo recently announced that they have lowered their pre-negotiated pricing with major shipping carriers like UPS, USPS, FedEx, and DHL. Additionally, customers can get up to 5% back with Veeqo Credits, making Veeqo's rates the most affordable. Besides providing competitive shipping rates, Veeqo also offers a comprehensive set of inventory and warehouse tools to help businesses reduce costs and improve efficiency.?

Previously testing Veeqo, the pricing was not competitive with my USPS rates, but I plan to give Veeqo another try and test their rates to see how they compare with others in the market.


2. Supply Chain By Amazon

Supply Chain By Amazon is an end-to-end, fully automated set of supply chain services that provides a complete solution to quickly and reliably move products directly from your manufacturers to customers worldwide. It leverages Amazon's advanced technology and supply chain capabilities to optimize end-to-end logistics, fulfillment, and transportation on your behalf. It will help simplify the entire supply chain journey and stay in stock while benefiting from greater reliability, faster speeds, and significantly lower costs.??


This program can be confusing because, within Supply Chan by Amazon umbrella, you have Amazon Global Logistics, Amazon Warehousing and Distribution, Multi-Channel Solutions, Fulfillment By Amazon and Amazon Shipping. I'm looking to test this myself to simplify my process further. More on that in the future.?


BTW, they also announced NO PEAK PRICING.


3. Quick List?& Content Listing

They are using generative AI to simplify the listing creation process for Sellers. With the current launch, all a seller must describe their product in a few words or sentences, and our generative AI will automatically create high-quality product titles, bullet points, and descriptions. Soon, Sellers will be able to generate other attributes using AI, with Sellers having to provide essential inputs, such as a web URL or the data already available.


It's pretty cool what they have and plan on having next year around listing your product.

  1. You can import your catalog directly from a DTC site to Amazon and put it in draft status.
  2. Provide a prompt and Amazon will automatically list all the variations, i.e. "men's sneaker, size 9-13 in colors blue, white and black." This prompt will create all the variations for you.
  3. Create product titles, bullet points and descriptions with a short description. They will include keywords in the future and allow you to use an image or URL to create a PDP.


I heard very little on the advertising front. I asked about Buy with Prime advertising, where you could use a lighter version of DSP in the past, but that program was deprecated. They announced the Buy with Prime and Shopify partnership news, which was leaked two weeks ago. They are also launching the ability to manage Coupons, Deals and Sponsored Product advertising on the mobile app.


Three dashboard enhancements to gain better insights


1. Customer Loyalty Analytics – New Customer behavior insights dashboard


The Customer Loyalty Analytics dashboard provides a comprehensive view of your customers' shopping behavior and loyalty. It allows you to segment customers based on their level of loyalty, analyze purchase patterns, and engage with them in a targeted manner to increase their lifetime value.?


With this new dashboard, you can gain valuable insights into your brand's performance over time and historical trends. Additionally, the dashboard comes with recommendations and integrated engagement tools like Brand Tailored Audiences, which enable you to focus on engaging with select customer segments.?


Using this dashboard, you can easily send out promotions, coupons, and email campaigns to your customers, increasing their engagement and overall loyalty to your brand.


2. Voice of the Customer Dashboard


As a seller on Seller Central, you can access the Voice of the Customer (VOC) Dashboard to gain valuable insights into your customers' opinions and feelings about your products. The dashboard currently provides a breakdown of negative customer experiences by issue type, enabling you to identify and address product quality problems. Over the next few months, we will introduce three new features to give you more insight into your customers' feedback.?


These features include:?

  1. Key Phrases from customer feedback,?
  2. Category Benchmarking and Trend Analysis, which will allow you to compare your performance against similar products, and?
  3. Deeper key performance metrics broken down by customer feedback source. These enhancements will help you build long-term customer loyalty.


3. Customer Sentiment Insights


Amazon announced the launch of new features for our Customer Review Insights tool, which has now been upgraded to Customer Sentiment Insights. This powerful tool provides a comprehensive perspective on customer sentiment by analyzing reviews and customer returns. With the new updates, you can compare insights at the parent-ASIN level, gaining a deeper understanding of specific topics that customers discuss in positive and negative reviews. Additionally, upcoming enhancements will allow you to analyze trends over time, benchmark customer sentiment for all products against best sellers in the entire category, and select different periods. These insights will help you strengthen your brand positioning. The tool will be available later this year in the US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, with Japan soon to follow.


To sum it up, I had a great time (but now I'm exhausted). I had the opportunity to see some of Amazon's latest innovations, talk to the Product Team, and engage with other Sellers and users of Intentwise.
