Amazon is constantly looking for ways to improve its fulfillment and logistics services, being involved in every step of the online shopping journey. During the first day of the Amazon Accelerate Seller Conference, Amazon announced they are working on better ways to integrate their services with those of other companies, something that will allow them to offer a more seamless shopping experience for customers.
The first day of Amazon Accelerate has been a real pleasure so far. I had the chance to listen to knowledgeable speakers on different stages, attend Seller Cafe appointments, network, and meet a lot of agency owners, brands, and software providers, which is why we love in-person events.?
The event is still running, but I wanted to touch base and share some of the key takeaways that I have until now:?
?? Supply Chain by Amazon was introduced to revolutionize your business. It's your ultimate partner for automatically keeping your products in stock and managing the entire journey from manufacturing to end-users.
?? Global Logistics - Amazon's Global Logistics success was shared, highlighting expanded services cross border shipping. Now, you have the opportunity to work directly with fulfillment centers through the SC with all-inclusive pricing, offering a 25% discount.
?? US Partner Carrier Program - The US Partner Carrier Program offers different solutions for domestic shipping that can suit different sellers.?
From now on, AWD (Amazon Warehousing & Distribution), is available to all sellers. The program offers to eliminate peak pricing, providing peak storage prices at 80% less, allowing to lock-in rates to secure capacity and reserve space months in advance. Discounts have also been extended across all aspects of this program.
?? Multi-Channel Distribution - Auto Replenishment capabilities and cutting-edge machine learning technologies will optimize the sorting and distribution of your products on and off Amazon with fulfillment. By leveraging this program, sellers can expect an impressive 15% increase in sales.
?? Amazon Shipping Power - Amazon Shipping has been building a fulfillment network for over a decade, with over $100 billion invested. Now, they're guaranteeing 2-3 day delivery anywhere fulfillment happens online, promising costs that are 30% less than other leading delivery providers with fewer fees. You'll also gain access to features like real-time tracking and photo-in delivery, all seamlessly integrated into your website experience. Plus, no weekend fees or residential surcharges! This program is now available in 15 metro areas and expanding. One more free tool - Veeqo - Shipping software - provides the lowest commercially available shipping rates. This program has had 45 new features and improvements, including support for Amazon Shipping and its own scanner for hardware applications.
??? Selling Partner App Store - Amazon is continuously adding more tools and looking to incorporate enterprise-level apps. Recently, they introduced QuickBooks integration, streamlining profit and loss/financial tools directly into the SC. They're also bringing third-party app notifications directly to SC through the newly announced Emerald program.
?? Innovation Inspired by Feedback - Amazon is dedicated to improving customer services by closely listening to feedback. Their goal is to enhance services, reduce cases reopened, and provide real human support. They've even discussed their processes using Root Cause analysis. A "call me now" button is available on the backend under case management to improve the product compliance experience.?

?? Seller Partner and Community - The Seller Forums experience is getting a revamp, promoting group learning. Amazon is assembling an expert team of moderators to improve the customer experience and facilitate direct connections with experts. They're even updating product launches and sharing the backstory to innovations. All this is achieved by using feedback in SC to improve the overall experience.
?? Amazon Homepage Evolution - The Amazon Homepage is getting a makeover! They're adopting a control center approach, putting essential actions front and center. Expect recommendations on how to grow your business and ongoing testing of key metrics for continuous improvement.
??Seller Messaging Assistant- A recently launched new feature in Seller Messaging Assistant helps sellers with the order status, shipping, and returns handling.?
?? Simplified Listing Management - Amazon is launching a unified listing management experience later this year. AI will play a pivotal role, helping you create titles, bullets, and descriptions by entering a brief product description. This feature is already available to all US sellers. Amazon's data shows that listings using AI-generated titles result in more sales. (Image with Nikon camera product detail page - left is an old version, right is a new version) Coming soon, sellers will be able to submit a URL or photo of the product, and the management system will provide all the attributes necessary to complete a listing. This feature isn’t just for new products, existing listings will be able to take advantage of this to fill in missing attributions or update titles, and more.
?? Combating Fraud and Manipulation - To reduce returns and damaged product claims, Amazon now offers a Signature on Delivery option. They've introduced a refund reduction workflow to ensure products are returned in good condition, saving millions of dollars. Plus, they're monitoring and adjusting reviews and ratings to improve the overall quality of the customer experience. Amazon even shared a case study featuring Woobles, a branded crochet kit success story.
Finally, what is Amazon's ultimate goal? To automate the end-to-end seller experience, from manufacturing to the end-user and all of the announcements mentioned above show that they are taking the steps needed to achieve their set goal.?
