Such an amazing organisation!
Had an amazing evening last night at Tupu Toa Kirimete Cocktail evening held by the Wellington PWC Office.
For those who are unfamiliar, Tupu Toa has offered 260 internships in 2019 to Māori and Pacifika. This year they have grown to 90 corporate partners, of which, around 75 provide internships and 15 internships this year will be international! Aside from that, as a not-for-profit organisation they are ensuring diversity is welcomed and cultural training is provided to all their partners.
What I found most remarkable in my first year was the encouragement and support they offered me throughout the whole process from selection, during my time at Transpower Ltd and now as an alumnus. A special acknowledge must go to Transpower for the the unique opportunity offered to me last year summer. Working in the electricity sector was an unforgettable experience!
I wish the best for all the current Tupu Toa interns, be true to your identity and continue to push expectations, kia kaha.
Please share this fantastic kaupapa among your networks in New Zealand and if you are abroad and want top talent get in touch. Tupu Toa is a unique community focused business model that. Also feel free to DM if you have any questions. *Apologies for the poor photo quality I am on a temporary photo.
