Amazing Maths Tricks

Do you feel tensed while proving that LHS = RHS? Do you ever need more motivation while performing long mathematical calculations? What if you solved a Math problem three times in the exam and got a different answer each time? And the awkward moments when the entire class debates whether the answer is 39 or 37 and you get 153. It's completely relatable. We know.

But don't worry, it's not just you. Every other student has a similar story. Mathematical calculations appear to be the most difficult thing ever. Every problem has a solution, as you know. And what if we told you there's a quick way to solve any Math problem? It's difficult to believe. No? But this is true.

We Indians have always been known for our brilliant calculating abilities. We are well-known for our mathematical tricks. Our country produced Ramanujan, Aryabhatta, Shakuntla Devi, and many other masterminds. What was it that made them so brilliant? How did they manage to solve more than 10-digit numbers in seconds? And they must have left a wealth of knowledge for future generations. We have Math Tricks that will turn you into a math genius.

In seconds, find the Square of a number that ends in 5.

Okay, so it's very simple to square 25. What about 725, though? Math tricks are performed here. Let's take a look at how:

Step 1: Multiply Ten's digit number by the number that comes after it (next).

= 72 × (72 + 1)

= 72 × 73 = 5256

Step 2: Determine the unit digit's square. Our unit digit is 5 in this case.

= The Square of 5 equals 25.

Step 3: Combine the answers to steps 1 and 2.

= 525625. Here's your answer:

Yes! It is that simple. In just three steps, you can quickly square any digit ending in 5.

Division of a large number (any digit) by 5

Division of a large number (any digit) by 5 you can quickly divide any large or small number by 5. We're not just talking about numbers that end in 5. But there are other numbers as well. Any number with any number of digits will suffice.

Divide 67834 by 5 to get the answer.

Step 1: Divide the number by two.

= 67834 × 2 = 135668

Step 2: To the left, move a decimal point.

= 13566.8

Your answer is on the left side of the decimal point. Oh! Yes. Only two steps. You have got your answer: 13566.

Multiply any two-digit number by 11.

This simple trick allows you to quickly multiply any two-digit number by 11. Let's look at an example to help us understand this better:

98 ×11 (It's a simple one-step trick. Please be patient! Don't get too worked up.)

Step 1: 9 (9 + 8) 8

= 1078.

And there you got the answer! Aren't these Mathematics Tricks entertaining?
