One of our favorite times for the PCDN Team is when we are fortunate enough to interact with our amazing members all over the world. We greatly appreciate the stories of appreciation for the impact that PCDN is having (please continue to add your comments about how PCDN has impacted your work here), your suggestions for how we can improve PCDN and sharing stories/strategies and inspiration for staying engaged in the long, wonderful and hard slog of social change. Please consider attending the following amazing events where members of the PCDN team will be present. n addition to the ones listed below as part of our programming we have also launched the PCDN career series. We will be hosting periodic live in person events at our shared working space at 1776 in DC and also doing online events on careers in social change, strategies for maximizing impact, networking and much more. We are also always open to exploring potential mutually beneficial partnerships.

UPCOMING EVENTS WHERE PCDN TEAM MEMBERS WILL BE PRESENT (this will be continually updated throughout the year):
1) PCDN EVENT SERIES
PCDN Events at 1776 in DC and online – We will be hosting numerous in person and online events coming this year as part of our career series We will be having at least one webinar a month and other events/workshops on building a career in change.
2) Society for International Development Career Fair – January 24, Washington, DC – The SID-Washington Career Fair is a terrific opportunity for entry and mid-level candidates to advance their careers, make connections with influential individuals and institutions, and learn more about the current state of international development. It also provides a forum for international development organizations to recruit top talent and highlight their unique opportunities in and contributions to development. PCDN will have an exhibitor table at the event.
3) JSTREET – Join thousands of pro-Israel pro-peace leaders and advocates and make your voice heard in Washington, DC. Dr. Zelizer will be moderating a panel Bereaved Israelis and Palestinians Bridge Divides with the Parents Circle Families Forum on February 26th in Washington, DC. At the J Street Conference you will learn about what’s going on in the region from world-class experts, strategize with innovators and activists working to solve the conflict, connect with other committed supporters from around the country and join us as we send a strong message to Congress!
4) Ashoka U Exchange – Join Us to Embed Social Innovation in Higher Education – March 2-4, Miami. Imagine a world where all higher education institutions serve as vehicles for positive, sustainable social impact and innovation. Dr. Zelizer will be attending and facilitating a community lunch discussion on careers in change.
5) SXSW –Dr. Zelizer, CEO/Founder will be at the world’s largest festival of digital technology from March 10-13, 2017 (including tech for social good). Two years ago, Dr. Catalina Rojas, Director of Innovation for PCDN received a Dewey Community Service Award for Digital Innovation at SXSW. In 2016 year 50% of the Dewey Awardees were members of PCDN including. This year two of the awardees are PCDN members including Blair Glencorse, Executive Director of the Accountability Lab and Dr. Barbara Moser, Director of the Inzone Project at the University of Geneva (see also their page on PCDN)., (please take a moment to congratulate them and also learn about all the amazing awardees)
The event is an incubator of cutting-edge technologies and digital creativity, the 2016 event features five days of compelling presentations and panels from the brightest minds in emerging technology, scores of exciting networking events hosted by industry leaders and an unbeatable lineup of special programs showcasing the best new websites, video games and startup ideas the community has to offer. From hands-on training to big-picture analysis of the future, SXSW Interactive has become the place to preview the technology of tomorrow today.
6) Higher Education in Emergencies – Universities as Humanitarians May 9, 2017 Boston, MA organized by Swissnex On May 9, we invite you to join us for a keynote with Barbara Moser-Mercer, Director of InZone at the University of Geneva, followed by a panel discussion featuring J. Phiillip Schmidt, Director of Learning Innovation at the MIT Media Lab, Craig Zelizer, Founder and CEO of the Peace and Collaborative Development Network (PCDN), Adrienne Fricke, Senior Fellow, Harvard Humanitarian Initiative (HHI), and Jeffrey Schantz, Senior Advisor at EYP. The panel will be moderated by Raina Fox from the Millennium Campus Network (MCN).
7) Positive Leadership Workshop – An interactive session that will change you for the better June 5-7, 2017, Costa-Rica We are excited to be gearing up for our next Positive Leadership. Join us for a practical, hands-on experience that will help you improve your leadership skills, gain a deeper understanding of your strengths, and connect with like-minded professionals. Dr. Zelizer will be assisting with the workshop and doing mentoring sessions for attendees.
8) Society for International Development Annual Conference, June 1, 2017 Washington, DC. Join development professionals representing the private sector, non-governmental organizations, think tanks, government agencies, multilateral institutions, and universities actively engaged in the field at the SID-Washington. PCDN will have an exhibitor table.
9) Interaction Forum, June 20-22, 2017, Washington, DC For the past three decades, InterAction’s Forum has convened leaders from a variety of sectors, becoming one of the largest gatherings of international development and humanitarian professionals.
With diverse breakout sessions, high-level plenary sessions, and an awards banquet, InterAction’s 2017 Forum creates a stimulating environment for participants to engage with colleagues and partners from a variety of sectors to forge common solutions to pressing global challenges. In 2016, over 1,000 attendees representing NGOs, governments, the philanthropic community, corporations, and civil society participated in the Forum.

10) Alliance for Peacebuilding Conference October 11-13, 2017, Washington, DC. The Alliance for Peacebuilding (AfP) Annual Conference serves as dynamic space for AfP members to network with the broader peace and security community, including funders, policymakers, members of the military, and professionals from a broad range of related disciplines, such as development, human rights, and environmental protection. The conference provides unique opportunities for to exchange ideas, reflect on international crises, discuss the most important issues in the peacebuilding field, and develop collaborative projects. Key members of the PCDN team will be attending and exhibiting.
11) Making Cents Global Youth Economic Opportunities Summit, September 27-29, Washington, DC. The Global Youth Economic Opportunities Summit convenes influencers who create and implement innovative solutions. The agenda attracts leading experts who are working to advance social and economic well-being of young people. PCDN will have an exhibitor table at the event.
