Amansie Central leads in teenage pregnancy cases - Hon. Abraham Takyei reveals

It has emerged that, Amansie Central now has the highest number of teenage pregnancy cases in Ashanti region.

The Numereso community ranks sixth (6th) in terms of teenage pregnancy ratings in the district

Not only is teenage pregnancy high in the district, drug abuse among the youth is also high in the area.

Hon. Abraham Takyei, the Assembly man for Numereso in the Amansie Central district made this known during the 10th Anniversary celebration of Emmanuel Preparatory School at Numereso

Hon. Abraham Takyei therefore called on all stakeholders to help reverse the trend as it is giving the district a bad name

On his part, the Director for Emmanuel Preparatory school, Mr. Emmanuel Adu pleaded with government and private institutions to assist him to upgrade the school to Vocational Institution to be able to equip the youth in the country with employable skills

The chief of Numereso who graced the occasion re-emphasized the importance of education in the life of every person and charged parents to prioritize the education of their kids
