Amanda's Monday Minute

I know, it's still Sunday, but tomorrow I am donating platelets after my LAST DAY at my "normal" job. For almost 31 years, I have worked for a corporation of some sort, but Tuesday, March 1st I will be my own boss. I am beyond excited!

I will be ghostwriting and already have two clients. However, I am also be creating content for my business Imaginary Friends, LLC. My community nurturing and content creation efforts begin on March 13, 2022 with the monthly Creative Cast series. The opportunity to work for myself is a huge blessing, and I am dedicated to build community and promote the creative work of others.

I am focusing Creative Cast only on things I truly enjoy. I will promote and celebrate creators whose products I own or consume. I love Tarot cards because they are (and have been for over 100 years) a welcoming place for women artists to share their work. Historically, breaking into the gallery scene has been extremely difficult for so many women and the term "starving artist" is not a cliche. When you're a working mom, the artist isn't the only one who will starve in a such a feast-or-famine model.

Siolo's second deck (Otherkins) was my very first Tarot deck and her watercolor works are beautiful and mesmerizing. I'm excited to talk to her about her art and her publication journey.
