AMAKA ANGELA EJIMOFOR: BORN WITH BEAUTY AND KINDNESS

AMAKA ANGELA EJIMOFOR: BORN WITH BEAUTY AND KINDNESS

That advert skit ‘Amaka disappoint me’ made popular from the 7th track of the album ‘Warriors’ released in February 2020 by 2Face, Innocent Idibia, the veteran Nigerian Singer popularly known as?2Baba when he brilliantly teamed up with Peruzzi to share a new single titled ‘Amaka,’ a song which narrates a story of disappointment by a love interest (Amaka) as produced by the fast-rising Record Producer, SperoachBeatz, is not true of Amaka Angela Ejimofor because she is born with beauty and kindness, hence she does not disappoints.

?

Honestly, if anything, this Amaka, Amaka Angela Ejimofor does not disappoint, but she will only aid your appointment into your destiny because she is born with beauty and kindness.

?

On Tuesday, July 09, 2002, our paths effectively crossed at Oceanic Bank International Plc when she was employed as an Assistant Officer (EP) and the Amankwo, Oghe, Ezeagu Local Government, Enugu State born 2001 graduate of Economics from the famous University of Nsukka was deployed to Abuja Main Branch to begin her banking career in the Customer Service Unit (CSU) where she was, from September-November 2002 before she was redeployed to Customer Service Unit (CSU), Emab Plaza, Abuja from November 2002 to September 2005 and subsequently to the Retail Banking Group (RBG), Emab Plaza, Abuja in October 2005 because of her excellent customer service skills and flair for marketing.

?

At this time, I was already in the Bank, having been employed on Monday, August 23, 1999 as an Assistant Officer (EP) and was working in the Personnel Department and later, Human Capital Development which subsequently metamorphosed into Human Resource Department and it was her that I encountered the beauty that is Amaka and the kindness that is in her heart and since then, it has only be beautiful stories, beautiful moments and beautiful memories because Amaka Angela Ejimofor is born with only beauty and kindness where I have been charmed by her simplicity, kindness and generosity. I have been charmed by her beauty. I have been charmed by her faith, her faith in her God.?

?

Firstly, I was, by divine providence; the Officer in charge of the Records/Performance Management Unit, the Unit that held responsibility over staff employment documentation, staff records; confirmation and appraisal processes, hence; I had the singular privilege of handling her complete employment documentation processes that led to the confirmation of her employment effective Friday, August 01, 2003 as an Assistant Officer (AO).

?

Secondly, we share the same faith, the Catholic Faith and through this, we could relate seamlessly, hence when I started my online evangelization through the Word Among Us (WAU), she was one of the first members that I enlisted on my mailing list, and we have held unto this beautiful and rewarding spiritual relationship till date.

?

Thirdly and significantly, our first daughter, Miss Theresa Oshiothenoya Osabomeh was born on Saturday, July 20, 2002, the month of her resumption with Oceanic Bank International Plc, in fact, eleven (11) days after her resumption, and through this, we share in a kind of a spiritual relationship, the month of July is very special to both of us.

?

The birth of our second daughter, Miss Mary Omomhe Osabomeh is very special to us. She was born on Ash ??Wednesday, February 09, 2005, and this is the birth month of Amaka, when she breathed her first breath on February 17.

?

This is the beautiful story of the Amaka that I met at Oceanic Bank International Plc on Tuesday, July 09, 2002 with these striking trajectories as a colleague, but now as a dearest sister in the true sense of the word where she has continued to call and address me as ‘Big Brother,’ sincerely and proudly because with a sublime faith, she needed no preaching and miracles to convince her that I am her brother, her brother in faith and she has come to accept me in this way, wholeheartedly.

?

And I am grateful!

?

Truly, the story of Oceanic International Plc is an unending story for me because it was a beautiful story, and it is still a very beautiful story no matter what the news says.

?

In this beautiful story, I met colleagues who became, not only friends, but sisters and brothers, many of whom we have never met physically and the chances of ever achieving this, are getting slimmer everyday as the years of our ages roll by gradually.

?

Amaka is in this category because we have never met physically, yet, she calls me ‘Big Brother’ so truly, sincerely, and honestly because she is born with beauty and kindness.

?

So, in re-telling the beautiful story of Oceanic International Plc, Amaka’s story is one that I would love to tell repeatedly, hence I am telling it on this day and in this way.

?

For instance, when in Year 2021 I had a sincere and genuine reason to seek for financial assistance from my friends and associates, she was among the first of few of my friends that I could call upon for financial assistance even before Davido (Mr David Adedeji Adeleke) called on his friends on Thursday, November 18, 2021 in his ‘On Million Naira Challenge’ to donate the sum of N1 Million (One Million Naira) to him in order for him to clear his Rolls Royce.

?

In that Year 2021, I was preparing to visit my mother, Mama Jeminetu Osabomeh (Nee Idi Ekpoki), who in her old age, has not seen my children, her grandchildren since December 2012 when we were home previously, a whole nine (9) years apart and to perform the Traditional Women Cooking (Ikpigho-Idumhi) Title ceremony of my only earthly and elder sister, Mrs Theresa Onomoane Asekhameh (Nee Osabomeh) and it was in this regard that I reached out to her and several of my friends.

?

However, she could not meet up with her simple promise to get in touch with me before the events, but surprisingly, on Thursday, January 06, 2022, the morning of our eleven (11) years as friends on the social media platform of Facebook and the day that I was supposed to have written this inadequate piece, I received that alert from her with a simple narration ‘Gift for Mama’ and a further sincere message “Good morning Big Brother. Sorry it is coming late” to which I could only truly and sincerely respond “You still acted even after the program? God bless you my dearest sister. We are highly indebted to you.”

?

In truth, promises do not count unless they are fulfilled! Amaka always fulfil her promises.

?

This event in the life of our relationship was to highlight the deep love that Amaka has for me and my family. In this, she does not gloss over our needs even when I did not prompt her.

?

Prior to this beautiful experience, on Friday, September 02, 2016, when things were tough with us, I woke up to an alert from Amaka and how she got my account details, remain a mystery to me to this day.

?

Truly, during this period, everything seem gloomy around us as we could not even afford the basic things of life?yet, on Monday, October 31, 2016, barely a month after her first alert, she repeated this great sacrifice of love again and Wednesday, April 29, 2020, Wednesday, August 18, 2021 and Thursday, August 25, 2022 can never be lost on us because these are iconic dates in our beautiful relationship with Amaka, especially Wednesday, August 18, 2021 when we celebrated our twentieth (20th) wedding anniversary.

?

On those days and always, Amaka touched the fabric of our lives by her kindness and beauty. She touched our hearts with the compassion of her heart.

?

Sincerely, this story of Amaka Angela Ejimofor has a theme of beauty, generosity, compassion, humility, and simplicity written all over it because she is born with beauty and kindness.

?

Honestly, I am highly indebted to Amaka for her kindness, simplicity, humility, and genuineness as she has continued to proclaim the gospel ideals and living them out by her life of generosity, kindness, and compassion.

?

Amazingly, how I have continued to remain relevant in the eyes and minds of my former colleagues in Oceanic Bank International Plc eleven (11) years after leaving the corridors of the Bank on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 following her consolidation into Ecobank Nigeria Limited, has continued to remain a mystery, even to me.

?

And Amaka is one of such former colleagues who have continued to see me in this regard.

?

‘My big brother.’ Hearing her constantly calling me this name, has changed my life as it shows me that I am not alone. It shows me that I have a sister in her. And it encourages me to always turn to people as my own.

?

Amaka is my own dearest sister, and this has continued to give me more than pride because Amaka Angela Ejim does not disappoint. This Amaka, my own dearest Amaka does not disappoint because she has continued to be a living example of true beauty to me and for my family and that I have enjoyed and continued to enjoy tremendous kindness and generosity from her, is no longer strange because she is born with beauty and kindness.

?

Sincerely, Amaka has been a good example of true friendship where she has continued to hold my hands by the faith of her heart and the touch of her hands. She has continued to call me to a message of generosity. She has continued to call me to a message of humility and simplicity. She has continued to call me to a message of righteousness and faithfulness.

?

Truly, she has continued to invite me to the beauty of her heart even as she has continued to lose anything and everything that does not lead to the glory of God in her life.

?

My dearest sister, your life and living as a child of God will not and never be a waste. This is my sincere prayer for you.

?

Honestly, Amaka is a unique woman and in her uniqueness, allowed me to be her brother, sharing her unique faith, the Catholic Faith with me.

?

Besides her heart of generosity and kindness, there is this bigger theme of her trust and confidence in me. Amaka has continued to trust me with anything. There is nothing she cannot discuss with me and where she got that confidence from, is simply amazing.

?

Some months ago, Amaka shared a touching and personal story with me and in that story, it was a story of a test of her faith in her God.

?

By the Catholic Faith, ‘faith is the natural gift of God which enables us to believe without doubting what God has revealed.’

?

It is said to also make things feasible for us if only we make it work as it changes all things from bad to good, but it must be made to take effect as it requires us to believe that the promises God made, He will fulfil.

?

This is the faith that Amaka has continued to realize and in this, continued to hold on, tenaciously to it because she believes that her faith must be in sync with God’s will for her.

?

This is a great faith, the great faith of our fathers in faith and it is only a great believer and faithful servant like Amaka that could continue to display such an enormous and inspiring faith as this in the face of her personal challenges and discomforts.

?

Faithfully, she always says to me ‘Big Brother Mark, let the will of God be done.’

?

Truly, according to St Lucy, ‘those whose hearts are pure, are the temples of the Holy Spirit.’

?

Thank you dearest Amaka for continuing to bless us with the great faith of your beautiful heart. Your heart is the temple of the Holy Spirit because of your faith and trust in your God.

?

God will certainly come good for you at His own time. Our dearest Mother Mary will continue to hold you in her maternal love to intercede for you and at God’s own time, we will celebrate, we will celebrate in thanksgiving.

?

Believe!

?

She is always so positive and in this she has touched and continued to touch my life by her generosity, the beauty of her heart and the faith of her soul.

?

Sincerely, Amaka preaches the gospel of love and simplicity and humility to me. In her heart, lies the mission of her Lord and Master, Jesus Christ, the mission of love and she is never ashamed to preach this, to everyone without discrimination.

?

Her actions are the way of her life, acting what she preaches, love, kindness, simplicity, humility, compassion.

?

Personally, I have continued to find myself in her story every single day that she calls me out in love. And she has become my door to happiness.

?

Honestly, I love telling the beautiful stories of people that have inspired me and continued to inspire me because in doing this, I will be saying to them ‘thank you’ even if never sufficient.

?

So, let us continue to be grateful to the people who make us happy because they are the charming Gardeners who make our souls blossom by their kindness, compassion, love, sincerity, honesty, and faith.

?

Amaka has continued to make my soul and that of my family blossom because she is born with beauty and kindness.

?

Her conversations always comforted me where she proudly calls me ‘Big Brother.’

?

On this day, Friday, January 06, 2023 that we celebrate our twelve (12) years as friends on the social media platform of Facebook, but twenty-one (21) years since our paths crossed at our Bank, Oceanic Bank International Plc, I will forever be grateful for the tiniest drop of your generosity for us especially now when we live in a world and a time where there is no longer genuine love, but not with you, my dearest Amaka because your simple decision to love me and my family, flow from a heart that is pure, simple, and genuine because you were born with beauty and kindness.

?

Thank you for everything. Thank you for loving us even when we are undeserving of it. Thank you for taking a place in your heart for us and have continued to show us compassion and love.

?

Thank you for bringing Christ to us by your kindness, beauty, compassion, and love.

?

Truly, it is said that one of the best ways you can love another person is by taking the time to get to know them and allowing them to get to know you. And such a friendship can grow as you try to anticipate a need they might have or show them in some other way that you care for them. As you build a loving, trusting relationship with that person, he or she will be more open to hearing about how much your faith means to you and how Jesus has worked in your own life.

?

Even as you spend time with this person, you can be interceding for them. You can ask the Lord to give you His heart for this person, to see them through His eyes. You can also pray that they experience God’s love in such a personal way that it moves them to seek Him and recognize Him as the source of blessings in their life.

?

This is the summary of the beautiful story of Amaka for us.

?

By her faith, she has continued to add something very valuable to me.

?

Friendship is truly one of the greatest gifts in life. In our friends, we find trusted companions who know us and love us for who we are, no matter what. Friendship can also be challenging and messy, as it takes a lot of work to keep relationships with friends happy and healthy, but our friends are the people who get us through the rough times, the people who very often come to us with compassion.

?

On several occasions, she knew my needs and acted even without prompting. She always come to us with compassion.

?

Thank you for your beauty. Thank you for your beautiful heart. Thank you for your efficiency in kindness. Thank you for your fervour in compassion. Thank you for your devotion in your faith. Thank you for your cheerfulness no matter the odds against you.

?

Honestly, the beautiful story of Amaka can fills forty chapters in any book with excellent tales of beauty, kindness, compassion, and faithfulness. And this is a positive lesson for us because we have been blessed by God to be a blessing to others. We have been loved by God to be a loving moment for others.

?

My dearest Amaka, the storms of life can really be frightening, and suffering and hardship can give way to real loss, but the Lord is always with us, speaking to us, showing us how to navigate each situation because He cares.

?

The Lord cares for you.

?

So, as you continue to hold on to your faith by imitating our Mother Mary by listening to God and obeying His voice, you can trust that He will keep your heart from losing its fervour, but continue to strengthen it so that your faith in Him will even be stronger as you face the storms in your life.

?

And like the Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 35:1, 7, please continue to ‘hold on to your faith!’ because ‘a time will come when the parched land exults.’ It may feel like you are in a harsh, dry desert right now, but ‘the burning sands will become pools of fresh water for you.’

?

Believe. Believe this because in due season, stars will come out of you.

?

This is my true and sincere wish and prayer for you my own dearest sister. Thank you for blessing me with the beauty of your heart. Thank you for calling me ‘big brother’ and acting this out truly and sincerely.

?

May this Year 2023 become the beginning of your beautiful testimonies and thanksgiving.

?

I love you; I do!

?

Na me

Your friend, colleague, and big brother

Mark Osabomeh (HR)
