What does it mean to be “unemployable” and why is it important to know the answer
Being “unemployable” is a term used to describe the difficulty of gaining sustainable employment in the current job market. It is often the result of either not having the qualifications or experience employers need or failing to demonstrate them in a way that catches their attention.
With competition for jobs fiercer than ever, it is no surprise that so many people are finding themselves labeled as “unemployable” due to the seemingly impenetrable job market. Whether this be a result of not being qualified or simply failing to draw attention during the application process, it is clear that knowing how to present your skills and experiences in the most effective way possible is key.
The latest research shows that around 49% of job searches end with no luck, demonstrating just how important it is to learn how to succeed in a competitive applicant pool if you want your chances of employment success to reach the same heights.
How Recruiters search for potential Employees - Understanding recruitment search strategies
Usually, Recruiters will create a list of criteria to help narrow applicants based on skills and behavioral traits. The focus should be on demonstrating these qualities in your job applications and related communication, as this can make a huge difference in how recruiters view you as a candidate.
Obtaining expert help or guidance when applying or presenting yourself in the job market can drastically improve how recruitment teams see your potential value to their team – so don’t be afraid to get assistance when it comes to recruitment search strategies.
