Am I crazy?
2 new business books at once: I must be crazy!

Am I crazy?

The first thing anyone says when I tell them about my two new books,?Elevate?and?Engage,?is ... are you crazy?

You wrote two books at once?

Why???

This is a very fine question.

I assure you, I did not start out to write two.

Here's what happened.

In writing?Elevate?for leaders, I needed a companion for their teams, which is now (finally!) available.

I started writing?Elevate?to help leaders set up their teams to write papers that they did not need to rewrite.

This meant no longer burning nights and weekends wielding their red pen.

Elevate?explains how my clients turn this 'necessary night time chore' into a 'satisfying daytime team sport'.

Elevate?helps leaders to stop playing their team's roles and step into their own as coaches and leaders.

I planned to use?Elevate?as the coaches' playbook alongside? The So What Strategy?for the team.

This is a great book that I co-authored with Gerard Castles in 2017. It sets out a simple strategy for structuring your messaging for simple communication.

If your communication is simple, I recommend it.

However, a problem arose.

As I laid out how leaders can coach their teams to prepare more complex communication I found the?So What Strategy?didn't fit.

In my client work I was twisting and tweaking the structures to make them fit the needs of senior audiences while adding new ones into the mix.

It also framed report writing as a largely solo activity.

So .... I decided to write?Engage, which is now (finally!) available for sale.

Here's the good news for you.

I am offering bonuses for August purchases.

Cheers, Davina
