Always use pro-tech-tion

Hello, Reader. You don’t need me to tell you a little preparation can save you a lot of hassle later down the line.

With Christmas just 101 Earth days away, I’ve already made headway with my present shopping. Keyboards, branded mouse mats, 2024 Northstar desk calendars – you name it, I’ve wrapped it. The Fleming family are in for a treat.

“Sorry, did you just say… Christmas?”

At the fear of losing some subscribers, I did – but all in good faith to emphasise this week’s point about preparation.

Now, although my premature present planning might save me from a late Christmas Eve dash around TK Maxx, there are far more important things to prepare for in life – namely, cybercrime.

With over 2.39 million instances of cybercrime a year in the UK, your business is a sitting duck for ever-evolving viruses if you don’t use protection.

But before you add any ol’ antivirus software on your Santa wish list, here are a few things to consider:

1.?Two are not better than one

Only ever have one type of antivirus product installed on your computer at any one time. More than one, and you’ll end up with a virtual fist fight. Things'll get ugly!

2.?A paid solution is better than a free solution

A free antivirus solution will only cost you money later down the line. If you haven’t got the budget for a premium product, speak to our team and we’ll go through your options.

3.?Renew your software

Don’t ignore that little pop-up that prompts you to renew your antivirus subscription. Like Christmas shopping, it’s best not to leave it too late.

“Sorry, I’ll ask again. Did you say… Christmas?”

Sure did. If you want to know more about antivirus software or want to chat to our team about the right type of protection for your business, call us today on 01903 25 99 23. Now where did I put the mistletoe?

Until the next time ??

Another REALLY important thing to remember... Protection against cyber crime goes well beyond anti-virus protection these days. We've moved beyond a monthly update to your anti-virus subscription arriving in the post on floppy disks, and so have they! Keeping up to protect against these threats is paramount to maintaining your defensive shield around your business. RED ALERT, shields up and ready all weapons! If you would like to know what other defences we can add to your business's arsenal DM and we can talk about it further. Until then, live long and prosper. And your business too... Captain Christian signing off??
