It always starts with this.

I still remember my first school dance;?the?boys lined up on one side and the girls on the other. It was quite?intimidating but we were all looking forward to the experience.
There was one girl I really liked. After a few minutes, I worked up my?courage, casually strolled?across the gym and asked her to dance. To my surprise, she accepted.
During that first dance, I worked hard to seem interesting. I really tried?to focus the conversation on what her interests were. I really only had one objective in mind.
When the dance ended, I looked at her and asked the question I had been working up to. She smiled sweetly,?grabbed my pen and wrote her number on my hand.?
By the way, she told me on our first date she agreed because she said she felt safe, respected and comfortable. In the last 50+ years, things haven't changed.?
This week's tip: Relationships always start with a conversation. Intentional conversations create possibilities. What will you do/say today to leverage one?into another contact?
