Always peek behind the curtain

I've worked at the same office for 5 years and today was my first day in the basement.
It's the same building, but being in the basement gave me a completely different appreciation of the ecosystem as a whole.
The footprint is the same, but the layout is different, designed to accommodate all the necessary, but un-sexy tasks required to keep an office block functioning.
There were strange, locked, unmarked doors with weird noises behind them;?inscrutable navigation patterns painted on the floor and what looked like a vintage Ferrari (or something Ferrari shaped) under a branded dust cover.
It was a different side to what I've seen every day. A side that made me think about the fact that what I see every day is just one facet of the whole.
We're all, only ever seeing one part of a bigger ecosystem, so when the opportunity arises, try to take a chance to peek behind the curtain, and get a sense of everything that sits behind what we see.?

1 年I`d say that it`s the same with people. Being with people in different situations and seeing different sides of their personalities can lead to discovering more about myself, as well as about them.
