I've just completed a brief online course to improve my skills in science writing. It was an eye-opener and extremely useful.

FutureLearn is a brilliant tool that has allowed me to keep brushing up my skills. I'm even learning completely new ones.

This latest course involved learning and putting that into practice, which was a fascinating process.

Too often, I down-play my knowledge of science (which is, mostly, decades out of date) but this course taught me where to find the information to fill in the gaps in my knowledge. And then how to apply the newly-acquired understanding.

The only question now is - what shall I learn tomorrow?
