Always Hustle: Never lose your focus...

When most of us start our careers we are thirsty. Month in the desert thirsty. We try to open every door and have something to prove to ourselves and to the world. We hustle everyday to grow, improve, be better, get more, climb that ladder.

Then we got comfy. We became secure. We put the hustle on hold.

It is too darn easy to get comfortable in a role. Sometimes it is life's demands that create the pause or it is the money or the security or the benefits or the commute. It is easy to get to a point that is easy or relaxing or simple. When did that become ok? When did you become that person?

The hustle doesn't need to stop because of age or situation. Sure, it may be a no-brainer to have that happen, but that is more because of complacency than it is your situation. As more work piles on and more responsibility becomes yours, the drive is stifled by work. We need to fight and kick and scratch to keep our focus and continue to grow. We need to hustle harder.

Hustling doesn't always mean you stay at the level you once were; that thirsty hustle. It will taper over time but continuous growth is a must. Comfy/complacent people are passed by. It is evolution. Only the strong survive.
