Asking the question, what are you doing tonight? Well that is what Janie Fricke asked us all in 1977 when she made her debut as a solo artist. Since then and over 40 songs on the radio and charted Janie Fricke is back and sounding really superb. I when working on the radio remember playing and falling in love and at the time having go through a break up, I played the song "It ain't easy being easy" and I was hooked. This song and others are featured on her new album called "Country Side of Bluegrass" Janies voice just carries you through each song like a hot knife through butter. Janie is one of those voices that has the ability to charm and keep you involved emotionally through the whole song, and in this case and others the whole album. Janie is a legend and deserves to be on the top of your listening plate. With her latest album Janie starts of the album with the song "You don't know love" and hits the unmatched sound of why I fell in love with this style of music. Another song Janie just really, as for me on this wonderful album a song called "he's a Heartache" this is where I replaced the he's to she's well, at least in my case with my breakup, at the time. Song after song Janie just does it, she pours on her true emotion and feeling throughout this whole album and it's just deemed to be a unforgettable masterpiece album. With this album Janie proves to all with her wonderful voice and the right mix of lyrics this puts high marks on those of who assisted her in producing the wonderful album. I am elated that Janie has not disappeared from the music scene and always had what it takes and allows us us share in her beautiful style of music with us. Janie is an "American Treasure" and I am so excited to write a wonderful review on a superb album and artist like Janie Fricke, and thanks to Janie for bringing me along her journey for all these years starting with asking me "What are you doing tonight"?. I am a huge Janie Fricke fan and "Always have, Always will"
