Always have self-confidence but not over confidence

Always have self-confidence but not over confidence

My mathematics teacher in the school had explained this very nicely. Take a revolver. Load a bullet in it. Rotate the cylinder randomly and put revolver to your head. Knowing the probability of dying is 1/6 is Confidence on your maths. Actually pulling the trigger is over confidence. Simple. Most things are. The audience sees a Joker as a Joker, but the Joker sees himself as a performer. No matter what others think about you, It is your life, just go on with confidence. — Joker?

Take an example of three guys are preparing for an Entrance Exam -one of the toughest exams for teenagers in India after 12th. First guy A topped, secured 90+% in 12th. Second guy B secured 75–80%. Third guy C barely got 60+%, just to qualify for an exam. Attitude of A was I am the topper of my school, I can clear this test with ease. All I need to do is study just 3 months before the exam and I will get admission into a top school. Till that time I will enjoy my fame of being the topper of my school. Barely attended any mock tests and hardly studied. This is called Over-Confidence.

Now let us see the attitude of B. Even though he was not a topper but he worked hard. According to his preparation and mock tests, he is sure he will qualify his exams but he wanted to get the best school and choice of his engineering stream for graduation. So he prepared accordingly. This is called Confidence. and now the attitude of C, He was the most hard working guy among them. But always lived in a fear that since he didn’t perform well in his 12th, may be he won’t perform well again in the test. Even though his preparation is equivalent to get top school but this fear inside him is eating him up slowly. This is called Under-Confidence. Hope, you see the difference.

When one watches Padman, feels strongly about “Bleed without shame” and decides to buy pads by herself and is off to the medical store. Confidence : “I want one packet Whisper, the large one” she said loud and clear, stressing on the last two words. The Pharmacist puts the Whisper packet in a black polythene. Overconfidence : “I'm not ashamed to carry pads, I don't want a black polythene.” she said in a savage tone. “Umm..Ma'am, we don't have any other coloured polythene. Actually, we give everything in these ones, even the medicines” the shopkeeper replied shyly and hushed while saying , “They're quite cheap. Sorry though.” This time, the walk of shame wasn't caused by the pads, indeed.

You had sex with your girlfriend. She said that you are amazing. You think, “Yes, I am good at it and I would keep her happy.” That's confidence. But, if you think, “ Yes, I am good at it and I can keep any girl happy” then that's overconfidence. Because handling A Maruti 800 and a Bentley are two different things. Confidence: “Beta khana kha le. Karela banaya hai.”(Son, eat. I have made bitter gourd.) Overconfidence: “Ulti wash basin me hi karna.”(Go and puke only in washbasin ok?).

Confidence: Me: Bhaiya your phone is in my hand and I know the unlock pattern too. I should run away with your phone and then I will know all your secrets officially. What say? Bhaiya: Tu bhaag k toh dikha. Zindagi mein aakhri baar bhaag ri hogi tu ye. (Run away if you can but that will be the last race of your life.) Me (with a poker face): Just kidding. What bhaiya said depicts confidence. Over confidence: Bhaiya: Here I am, with your phone in my hand. Let me run away with it and I will know all your secrets then. What say? Me: Aap bhaag k toh dikhao. Life mein aakhri baar bhaag re hoge. (Run away if you can. But that will be the last of your lifetime) Bhaiya gives a deathly stare. Me (with a poker face) : Just kidding. The same dialogue when used by me against my elder brother, depicts overconfidence.

Two guys cleared their 12th and reached Kota city in order to clear IIT-JEE examination. First guy (say Rohan), who was poor in studies purchased few books from market. Started with H.C Verma (physics book) and practised each questions many a times before the examination. The second guy, (say Rohit), who was topper in school purchased a single book for physics. He started solving Irodov (though he hasn't seen H.C Verma book in his life). How can he solve a book which Rohan was solving? (He was topper of school)

He wasn't able to solve even half of the book before exam. Result: Rohan cleared the examination to enter NIT college whereas Rohit was wondering; what he did wrong! After their graduation, they thought to give a try for UPSC Civil Services Examination. Both went to Delhi. Rohan, who graduated from NIT thought himself superior to that of Rohit (who graduated from private college). This time, Rohan purchased books which were of advance level and on the other hand Rohit purchased NCERT books (basic books of school).

Rohan got confused in middle of preparation (as he didn't study basics) whereas Rohit completed NCERT books before examination. Both appeared for examination and Rohit cleared the preliminary examination whereas Rohan was wondering; what wrong did he do? You see:-During JEE preparation:-Rohit was overconfident whereas Rohan was confident. During Civil Services Examination:-Rohan was overconfident whereas Rohit was confident. There is a small margin of difference between Confidence and Overconfidence. That difference decides your future! Cheers!

Kishore Shintré... it doesn't matter what other people think. Accept you for you , love yourself , for that is you . Stay blessed , ?????

In modern time, everything is common. In the competition of life, efforts to succeed are scarce. The winner of a competition is someone who is confident as well as overconfident. If you want to stand out from the crowd and be the leader, you need to increase your small margin of confidence and make it a big difference.
