Always Have a Next Step

Always Have a Next Step

You meet a potential client at a business meeting. Now what? Do you have a next step in mind? The best next step is an action that you take. Get permission to initiate the next conversation. For example, suggest that you get together in the near future and offer to call and confirm. You might also send an article or other information of interest.

Make it worthwhile for your prospect to contact you. Point them to an article on your website. Ask them to be in touch if they’d like an attorney’s perspective.

If you have a number of next step options available, you’ll be able to use them when you need them. Plan ahead!

Review every marketing activity on your calendar this month and design a “next step” for each.
