Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie is back on the CEV Champions League track!

The moment that all fans of Jurassic Army and Polish volleyball fans have been waiting for has come - our team begins the battle in the 2024/25 Champions League!

On November 13 at 6:00 p.m., the first whistle of the inaugural match will sound in the ArcelorMittal Park Arena in Sosnowiec. Our opponent will be the Austrian Hypo Tirol Innsbruck. The broadcast of this match will be carried by Polsat Sport, and abroad, CEV Champions League matches can be watched via the EuroVolley TV platform.

As announced yesterday during the official press conference in ArccelorMittal Park, all matches of European competitions will take place in Sosnowiec. If Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie will advance to the PlusLiga’s play-off phase, Sosnowiec Arena will be our home court, what let us host twice more Jurassic Army fans.

- I often emphasize that it is very important for me that Zag??bie sports are united and cooperate with each other. That is why it is a great honor for me to host Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie here. We are very happy that on the jerseys at the Champions League matches you will be able to see that we in Sosnowiec are also proud that great volleyball is visiting Zag??bie D?browskie region. But there is one more very important piece of news for all the fans, that we will also host the PlusLiga play-off matches here at this facility. And I strongly believe that this hall will be filled to the brim - emphasized Arkadiusz Ch?ciński, President of the City of Sosnowiec.

- Our history of ArcelorMittal Park is short, but very rich, abounding in a number of different top sports events. From the World Cup in hockey to the European League in football, and now it's time for the Champions League in volleyball. We are very grateful to the team that they want to live with us, because as they often say, it doesn't matter who gave birth, what matters is who created the house, so that this development is possible. For us, it is a prospect of cooperation, which also gives the opportunity to present our infrastructure. We will try to ensure that these two strong elements, the great sports level and our infrastructure, give fantastic shows - added Karina Skowronek, President of the Management Board of Zag??biowski Park Sportowy sp. z o.o.

- I would like to thank the President of Sosnowiec and the President of the Board of Zag??biowski Park Sportowy sp. z o.o. for their hospitality, for inviting us to this cooperation a year ago. We have the pleasure of being hosted in one of the most modern sports complexes in Poland. I hope that this second year of cooperation will result in not only an attractive show, but also a sporting effect. If our team advances to the play-offs, they will be played in the hall in Sosnowiec. - First of all, we are very happy that we are returning to the elite competition of the Champions League. We are also happy that we will be playing here in Sosnowiec. I think that last year showed how well we play in this hall. If I remember correctly, unfortunately we lost only one set - the golden one to 15. We won all the others, those to 25. That is why I really believe that match on Wednesday will also be a good opening for us. When it comes to the play-off games, we will have already played many important matches here, we also know this facility, so we are happy that we will play it in Sosnowiec - emphasized Micha? - We have great memories associated with this facility. We hope that we will also expand our fan base with more volleyball fans, because here in Sosnowiec there are no men's volleyball teams at such a high level. We are happy that this Champions League is already starting, because these are the most elite games there can be, so I think that great times are ahead of us - added the captain of Jurassic Knights, Mateusz Bieniek.

The next group matches will be on December 18 with the Belgian Knack Roeselare and on January 29 with the Italian Allianz Milano. The play-off phase of the PlusLiga starts on the last weekend of March.
