1. Different components

6063 aluminum alloy contains 0.4% Si and 0.7% Mg, with a hard material strength of 295Mpa and a soft material strength of 111Mpa. It is used in extruded profiles for tubular railings, furniture, frames, and buildings.

6061 aluminum alloy contains 0.6% Mg, 0.25% Cu, 1.0% Mg, 0.09% Cr, with a hard strength of 316Mpa and a soft strength of 127Mpa. It is used in corrosion-resistant structures, heavy-duty vehicles, ships, vehicles, furniture, etc.

2. Different uses

6063 aluminum alloy is widely used in the frames of building aluminum doors, windows, and curtain walls. In order to ensure that doors, windows, and curtain walls have high wind pressure resistance, assembly performance, corrosion resistance, and decorative performance, the requirements for the comprehensive performance of aluminum alloy profiles are much higher than those of industrial profile standards.

6061 aluminum alloy is a high-quality aluminum alloy product produced by heat treatment and pre stretching process. Although its strength cannot be compared with 2XXX series or 7XXX series. But it has many characteristics of magnesium and silicon alloys, including excellent processing performance, excellent welding and electroplating properties, good corrosion resistance, high toughness and no deformation after processing, dense and defect free materials, easy polishing, easy coloring film, and excellent oxidation effect.

3. Different production processes

The T6 process of 6061 is as follows: the solution treatment temperature is 530 degrees, and the T6 state made by artificial aging is 160 degrees for plates, and 175 degrees for rods and plates with a thickness of 80 or more. The T5 state of 6063 is air-cooled and artificially aged. Small deformation coefficient, easy to control, average hardness, T6 state is water-cooled, large deformation coefficient, difficult to control, high hardness.
