The aluminium rolling shutter is made up of aluminium extruded profiles manufactured by an aluminium extrusion manufacturer who sources aluminium from primary metal producers such as NALCO. A special die needs to be made for each profile before placing an order. Minimum order quantities for each profile section are 300 - 500 kg depending on the total order quantity.
This is the profile section of a double wall aluminium rolling shutter slat.
This is how the slat is packed and dispatched from the manufacturer.
The slats need to be joined together by sliding each slat in the groove on the side of the slat and locked in place with the help of specially made nylon end caps which are screwed on both sides of alternate slats.

Side guide section
The bottom slat and side guides can also be made in aluminium , you need to check availability of the section at the time of the order. Alternatively, you can use GI (galvanised iron) components as well. The brackets and shaft (pipe) are in GI by default.
The aluminium side guide is screwed on to the side wall directly. You can also opt for a wool pile lining to reduce the rattling noise as the shutter slats move in the side guides.
The shutter can also be powder coated to desired RAL shades.
