DAX is the native formula and query language for Power BI Desktop, Microsoft PowerPivot and SQL Server Analysis Services Tabular models. DAX formulas are used in measures, calculated columns, calculated tables, and row-level security. “They did a masterful job of describing the philosophy of making and presenting reports.”

“Very informative and interactive. Well paced. Best virtual learning course I have ever done!”

“This was an excellent course, really well presented with great content, more like this one please thank you!”

“They knew how to speak in a way, that felt more engaging and close to home. Presenters can quickly become way too technical and out of touch, that did not happen here.”

“All in all an excellent event. Pitched perfectly at the right level and instructors were fantastic! Would recommend”

2. Blog spotlight: Making Power BI Reports More Accessible to Screen Readers

Anyone using Power BI to create reports will want them to be visually engaging. However, it is important to also consider ways to make the reports accessible to a wider range of individuals. By optimising Power BI reports for screen reader compatibility and keyboard controls, enhanced data accessibility and improved access for more users can be achieved. Steve Bentley, Altis UK Power BI specialist, explores configuring alternative text and the report’s layout as two practical techniques for enhancing accessibility.?Read Steve’s blog post to learn more.

6.?Follow our monthly newsletter on LinkedIn

Please feel free to subscribe to Altis UK Data & Analytics News on LinkedIn. I’ll be publishing our monthly newsletter there (we’ll still be emailing it too) along with other newsworthy items throughout the month.

Our mission at Altis is to guide our clients to become successful data-driven organisations. We are Data & Analytics experts, it’s all we’ve done since we started in 1998. We don’t sell any software, which means we listen carefully to what you need and design solutions that deliver tangible business benefits for you rather than recommending a solution for our own financial gain. We deliver value for our customers in a number of ways, whether it’s helping you create a Data Roadmap to guide your future endeavours, building Data Platforms and Data Visualisation solutions to support organisation-wide decision making, delivering toolset and best practices training, or providing Managed Services for your existing Data & Analytics solutions.

Please feel free to get in touch, as I'd love to catch up with you to learn about what you're looking to achieve in the Data & Analytics space, share how we've helped clients in similar situations, and see if we might be able to help guide you to become a successful data-driven organisation. We enjoy spreading the love, so please feel free to share this newsletter with your networks, or better still, I welcome an introduction.

Thanks for reading!
