Alternative HoloLens Platform for VisualLive Customers

For those of you who have been using VisualLive for viewing 3D CAD/BIM models onsite, you might be aware that from 30 June they will no longer be accepting new subscriptions.

I would like start-out with a thank you to the VisualLive team as they have been an industry leader in mixed reality visualization of 3D construction models, and I especially applaud their hands-on approach to develop a tool that is suitable for construction workers in the field.?

If you are now looking for an alternative to visualize 3D models in the future, we encourage you to consider BIM Holoview.?In some respects, BIM Holoview is similar to VisualLive (particularly the model conversion process), but there few differences also.

BIM Holoview provides:

• High levels of positional accuracy (1cm) World which are achieved through World Locking and Precision Mode
• Support for very large (2GB) models through Azure Remote Rendering
• Support for HoloLens and Meta Quest only (no tablet or phone)
• Licensing based on model conversions rather than devices as we believe this is fairer to most users
• BIM Holoview has integration to BIM 360 only, but not other platforms (e.g. Procore)
