Big news for the free alternative to ChatGPT Plus. ?Copilot now uses GPT-4 Turbo for free! This means you no longer need ChatGPT Plus to use the latest OpenAI model.
Here's how to check if you have access and what it changes:
?? 1. Check access
GPT-4 Turbo seems to be gradually rolling out.
To check whether you have access, follow these simple steps:
- Go to copilot .microsoft .com
- Press Ctrl+U (Cmd+U) to display the page code
- Press Ctrl+F and type "gpt4t".
If you see GPT-4 Turbo mentioned, you have access to it.
Note: this is not an "official" method, but it seems to be reliable.
?? 2. Response time
In addition to other improvements, GPT-4 Turbo has a faster response time.
So all your interactions with Copilot will be smoother.
?? 3. Knowledge Cut-off
GPT-4 Turbo includes data up to April 2023, while GPT-4 incorporated data until September 2021.
Even if Copilot is connected to the Internet, this is useful if you disable Search in the plugins.
