Alternative Approach!

?? This represents some of a little brunch I served one weekend.

Ever see such an oozing cheesy omelette? Surprise! NO eggs or cheese/dairy in it. As for the homemade blueberry jam? No sugar added. And the bread? Along with 15 gm of protein, a cool 4 gm of carbohydrates a slice ~ instead of the 'usual' 14 gm of carb.

?? All these brunch items use alternative ingredients for those who can't have/don't want certain food groups/items, esp. because of existing medical conditions. Some of said ingredients ~ e.g., the pea protein/whey protein concentrate in the bread; the mung bean protein isolate in the vegan egg mixture and modified potato starch in the plant-based cheese ~ sound a bit weird ~ but it means those who have food issues or allergies can still have a satisfying eating-experience.

"Just like the real thing!" I've been told.

So it's the same, or similar satisfaction, just via a different route.

?? I liken it to what happens in writing, sometimes ~ esp. the writing of a book. You may find that an alternative approach works well, answers/accepts limitations, solves a problem, results in a different but satisfying result ~ and produces something truly special!

Just as there are replacements, options and alternatives for food items, so there are many approaches that can be considered in the writing process.

Or perhaps a graphic-novel format, where the ingredients, effect and result have as much to do with the pics as with the words.

There may be an alternative, and one that might fit and fill your needs as an author, much better than what you'd originally figured.
