Altair Forward First – January 2023 Edition

Welcome to 2023! We hope you’ve had a rejuvenating start to the new year and hit the ground running in January – we certainly have. Data Analytics and AI

• To kick off the new year, Chief Product and Strategy Officer Ravi Kunju wrote about what he predicts will be the biggest computer science trends of 2023.
• We signed a campus wide license agreement with TU Delft, the Netherlands’ oldest and largest public technical university, to provide a pool of 1 million Altair Units to the school’s faculty and students. The deal will give nearly 30,000 people access to Altair’s leading technology.
• In this article on Medium, Solutions Specialist Julian Jerzerick used the Altair data analytics solution suite to explore how the airline industry can optimize fuel usage using machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI).
• Watch this case story video to learn how Prodrive, a world leader in motorsport technology, uses Altair? Panopticon? to generate real-time data visualizations that enable engineers to pick out trends, identify potential health problems, and inform design and build improvements.

Simulation

• We released Simulation 2022.2, which bolsters Altair’s comprehensive simulation toolset and improves cloud elasticity/scalability, electrification, and product development decision-making capabilities.
• In a big win in the renewable energy sector, Soltec, a global solar equipment manufacturer based in Murcia, Spain, will adopt Altair technology within its research and development (R&D) division. The R&D team will use Altair’s simulation, data analytics, and other capabilities to both optimize existing technology and develop new products.
• We are an official partner of the Campania Aerospace District (DAC), one of Italy and Europe’s most important aerospace districts. The Altair partnership aims to bring reliable, cutting-edge technology solutions in data analytics, digital twin, and more to support and empower the aerospace industry in Campania and around the world.
