General VAs are people who provide wide range of administrative specified tasks. The kinds of VAs that fall under this category includes ?Administrative Assistant ?Personal Assistants ?Executive Assistants Typically they do things like managing emails, booking flights, managing calendars, data entry, conducting research etc for members of staff or executives. Niche Virtual assistants provide specialized skills or certifications in particular area There are several VAs who fall under this category, think: ? Social media managers, ?Lead generators ? E-commerce Virtual Assistant ?Book keeping Virtual Assistant etc Like I said, for the Niche based virtual assistants, we have a lot of specified job types under this. Think people who got certifications in a particular field or education or from previous jobs. It is important to specify which kind of virtual assistant you are or would like to be when starting out as a virtual assistant. Take me for example, I’m a general virtual assistant, I handle several tasks which include responding to emails, scheduling meetings, record keeping, and researching among many others using virtual tools like Zoom, Google workspace, Microsoft Office etc. I also have experience working as a social media manager, creating contents and answering social media DMs, I can choose to also apply for jobs as a social manager VA.
