Alpha-Jet: the "missing link" between CATIA and Marvel ?

Most of the #AvGeeks knows that almost 50 years ago, in 1973, on October 26th, flew for the first time the amazing Dassault Aviation Alpha-Jet.

You have probably already seen that I have recreated this trainer plane thanks to CATIA Mechanical and Shape Engineer role used with 3Dconnexion #SpaceMouse and #CadMouse

I am also a Marvel Fan, and maybe some of you have seen that the Alpha-Jet seems to be the "missing link" between CATIA and Marvel universe.

• Even if the first Alpha-Jet flew in 1973, a few years before the official launch of the first version of CATIA, it's the first military plane which wing shape has been designed thanks to a software, which can be considered as an ancestor of CATIA.
• I do not know why, but Marvel Studios has chosen to display some Alpha-Jet on S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier in the Avengers movie in 2012.

I can not then resist to the idea to create my own S.H.I.E.L.D. version of the Alpha-Jet, 3D designed in CATIA , as usual, reusing my previous Patrouille de France version of this plane of course...

...and then showcased it in flight, thanks to 3DEXCITE Creative Experience and Planet Studio applications.

As we say in French, "Le Monde est petit" - "The World is small"...

I never thought to find such a connection between my passions: Aviation, CATIA and Marvel
