Throughout history, women have pushed boundaries and demanded their rightful place at the table. From the “suffragettes” fighting for voting rights to the recent female pioneers shattering glass ceilings in STEM fields, the struggle for gender inclusion has been long but inspiring.

Many of us might not be familiar with the term “suffragettes” or how it started. But it was a term that referred to women, particularly those in the late 19th and early 20th centuries who advocated for women's right to vote. That very advocacy act was called the “suffrage movement.”

These activists, primarily in the United Kingdom and the United States, ?played a crucial role in advancing gender equality and inspiring inclusion in political decision-making processes.

Yet, despite progress, inequalities persist in many other sectors, creating an urgent need to inspire inclusion and empower women to reach their full potential.

As we approach Women's International Day on March 8th, 2024, with this year's theme being "Inspire Inclusion," it's essential to reflect on why this movement is vital. Gender inclusion isn't just about giving women a seat at the table; it's about recognizing their invaluable contributions throughout history and ensuring they are included in every decision-making process to thrive in every aspect of life.

To celebrate this spirit of inclusion, Alpha Blue Foundation is organizing a virtual event, Her Equity IWD, on March 8th, still centered around the theme of "Inspire Inclusion—an Era for All!" We urge the inspiring women in the house to join us for an insightful session featuring ground-breaking sessions.?
