What is being ‘alone’?
If we do a survey asking people which is the worst fear, they have? Being #alone will be on top. So, do we understand how and why? Think about it. We are born alone as a separate physical entity. Our whole life we survive as individuals and keep searching/chasing to create an identity that separates us from the ‘crowd’. We want to stand out whether it is due to our physical appearance, social or economic status, or intellectual presence. Yet the fear of isolation & being alone is paramount. What’s going on?
Fear like any other #thought is born from #memory. The brain wants security & safety to operate at its peak. But because of thought it can only get temporary security, as our conditioning has made us think that physically and mentally, we are the same, i.e. separate. So, if physical fears are allayed by being with people, mentally also we will be safe. Not true. Else we will not want to stand out….. Actually the desire, and need to stand out is driven by identity but the requirement is to be “Alone”. Which actually means “All – one”. Consciousness knows we are all one because there is only one universal consciousness. Call it spirit, energy, almighty whatever. So being alone actually means being with oneself (#world). (On a lighter note, the problem is we don’t like our own company. ??). And as “I am the world and the world is me”, allow yourself to be alone to be able to really know your own self and comprehend “#living” in silence. As that’s when our brains will get the unbounded energy it needs, and which lies untapped, to #see and #transform.

1 年Very True. "problem is we don’t like our own company" - When COVID struck we had ample opputurnoty to be alone, When we don't like to be alone, we cannot blame it on others, as we cannot tolerate ourselves, then problem is within, which needs to be addressed.
