We’re delighted to announce that we’re working in association with Plymouth University to support undergraduate students by developing their entrepreneurial and business skills.
Inspiring Futures
Inspiring Futures is a programme offered by the university that is uniquely designed to enhance the employability skills of undergraduate students, giving individuals the opportunity to work on consultancy projects that address real business topics.
After a successful start, the programme is now in its fifth year and now includes over 3,000 students over eight modules, adding an estimated value to the local economy of ￡750,000.
The programme is part of an assessed module that teaches individuals about employability and enterprise while developing their professional skills. Almeda is working in close partnership with students through our Marketing Department. We’re providing a project brief that details an area of our Marketing strategy that the students can investigate and feed into.
Students engaged through our Marketing Department
We have engaged a team of five individuals – Judy, Amy, Katrina, Brandon and Hamish – who are all studying the BSc (Hons) Business Management at the university. By working closely together with us, they will investigate Almeda’s social media presence, with the aim to create a report and video presentation at the end of the project.
Each student will be analysing current social media trends and campaigns, hot topics and target audiences, while looking at the Facilities Management industry as a whole. This will give them a real flavour of the importance of brand awareness and what it takes to have a positive presence in the marketplace. Each individual will also provide benefit by providing fresh eyes and perspective alongside their enthusiasm.
