Allurion Goes Digital

The coronavirus pandemic has taught us a great deal about our future. Never before has it been more apparent that the world is ready to go digital across every industry. Nutrition and weight loss are no different, especially as people around the globe are grappling with their personal health in the confines of their homes during quarantine.

At Allurion, we have gotten to know many of these individuals, having treated over 20,000 people with our weight loss program. Our program is built around a revolutionary, procedureless balloon that is coupled with a nutritional curriculum and digital platform that rounds out a 360-degree experience.

We have spent 10 years perfecting our program. Along the way, we took a page out of the book of the software and tech companies that are household names today and stayed close to every piece of feedback we received from our customers. They gave us pearls of wisdom on what delights them, what frightens them, and what they absolutely cannot live without across all aspects of our program. This dialogue has led to continuous improvement over the last decade, but it is in our DNA to never be satisfied with the status quo.

It is time to take our program to the next level.

Today, we announced that Jeff Feldgoise has joined us as our Head of Digital Product. Jeff shares our obsession for frictionless consumer experiences and has spent his entire career building them. Jeff and his team will build out a digital platform unlike any other the weight loss industry has seen, because it will benefit from years of customer interactions, careful listening, and scrupulous attention to detail.

While the wellness industry has swelled with products that claim to be cutting-edge and revolutionary, too many of them fail to help customers achieve their ideal weight and even more fail to stick with customers beyond just a few weeks. Too many also cater to a limited population and fail to engage a global audience. Obesity is a global disease that is managed over a lifetime, and the solutions customers desire need to have a similar breadth and longevity.

We intend to blaze this new path in the digital world.
