Allpack Case Study - Computing Distribution

Project: Sustainability Driven. Reduce the amount of plastic that is used in favour of more eco-friendly packaging solutions.

Brief: A worldwide cabling brand wanted to cut down on their plastic packaging use and adopt a more eco-friendly outlook for their company.

Action: Allpack proposed multiple paper alternatives from design through to supply. We proposed using Oxbox? cartons instead of double-wall cartons to help reduce their overall carbon footprint and carbon emissions. Providing more eco-friendly packaging solutions across the entire packing range, including changing any plastics that must be used as the only adequate performing product to have a minimum of 30% recycled content, which is Plastic Tax Complaint, helped to reduce and consolidate the overall number of plastic products being used in their packing process.

Result: We have prevented 51 million plastic bags from entering the supply chain, by optimizing packaging to remove overpacking and adopting environmentally friendly alternatives. The elimination of 51 million bags is equivalent to 127.5 tonnes of single-use plastic that has been eliminated from the supply chain.
