Job Interview Coach - I help corporate professionals build the communication skills & confidence to rock your interviews ??
Hey job seeker,
Can you believe it’s September? I tried to make the most of this 3-day weekend, so I’ve been spending it paddle-boarding, road-tripping, BBQing… basically soaking up as much sunshine as I can get while Seattle weather is playing nice ??
I don’t know about you, but I tend to do a lot of reflecting any time the seasons change. And lately, I’ve been reflecting on why I love working as an interview coach.
Today, I thought I’d share some of those reasons with you :)
First and foremost, I love working with people like you. It’s incredibly rewarding to show top performers how to articulate all the amazing value they bring to the workplace. Whether you’re a mid-career professional or a seasoned executive, it can be hard to explain the impact you’ve made throughout your career. Getting to watch clients’ faces light up as they gain the vocabulary to truly sell themselves is so fulfilling.
Another thing I love is working with folks who are just starting the job search, who haven’t interviewed in years (sometimes even decades). It’s really rewarding knowing that these clients are truly putting their best foot forward right from the get-go, and not letting any opportunities go to waste.
But I also love helping people who have been interviewing for months without success. My favorite thing is helping those clients figure out their blind spots, and?getting them back into the right headspace to perform at their best, even after facing multiple rejections.
Just look at this review that I got from a client lately. Or this one. I was honestly in tears when I got the news that these two clients landed roles. It's truly a privilege to get to do this work.
I’ll be real with you, I always imagined I’d end up somewhere in the ranks of corporate America. But now that I’ve seen the profound change I can help make in someone’s life by giving them the right tools for their interviews, there’s nothing else I’d rather do with my career.
