THE Alliance restores two Trans-Pacific routes!
After suspending two trans-Pacific routes due to weaker demand, THE Alliance will resume in April in order to enhance service.
First: The EC4/SUEZ1 route from Asia to the East Coast of the United States will resume on April 15.
The ports of call are: Kaohsiung, Xiamen, Yantian, Chua Mei, Singapore, Norfolk, Savannah, Charleston, New York, Singapore and Kaohsiung. Note that Hong Kong will no longer be used as a stopover, and both eastbound and westbound routes will pass through the Cape of Good Hope instead of the Suez Canal.
The EC4 service is expected to complete a voyage every 13 weeks and will involve up to 13 vessels with a capacity of between 13,000 and 14,000 TEU from Hapag-Lloyd, ONE and Yang-Ming. The first voyage will be carried by the YM Warm, a 14,080TEU vessel from Kaohsiung.
On April 19, THE Alliance will also resume PN3 service on the West Coast of the United States
Port order: Hong Kong, Haiphong, Yantian, Shanghai, Busan, Vancouver, Tacoma, Busan, Kaohsiung, and the addition of Hong Kong and Haiphong two docking points.
The first voyage of the PN3 service is scheduled to depart from Hong Kong on the newly built 13,788 TEU HMM Aquamarine. The service is expected to complete a voyage every eight weeks and will deploy eight vessels from Hyundai Merchant Marine and Yangming Marine.
