Alleviating Suffering

In a recent post I alluded to the fact that the first series of Holidays after a diagnosis of Terminal Cancer are particularly gut wrenching. Even though it has been 28 years since I was told to get my affairs in order in many respects it seems like yesterday. The spiritual, mental, emotional, and, of course, physical toll taken is beyond total comprehension unless one has experienced this personally. Even oncologists, radiologists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, and others so crucial in the treatment phase can’t possibly relate (unless they’ve had Cancer).

Cord of 3 Strands provides care of the type even Medical Degrees aren’t qualified to give. We fill the enormous void of after and between treatment support. Any help getting the word out by Sharing this will be greatly appreciated.

First and foremost we are looking for people who have been diagnosed. Cord of 3 Strands is also seeking financial support from those who are moved by the work we are doing. Our Board drew a line on solid rock that we would never accept funds from either the people we engage or their families. This leaves us completely and totally dependent on the kindness and generosity of Donors. Given the fact nearly 40% of us have had, currently have, or someday will have Cancer this Gift will provide assistance otherwise not available. Experience has shown that everyone, 100% of the population, has suffered the loss of a family member, close friend, work colleague, or acquaintance to the scourge of Cancer.

PLEASE assist us in the battle we are waging. We are in this to win and vow to never, ever give up the fight.

Gratefully...
