This is all You Need As a Small Business Owner

What’s the solution?

Rely on your own personal account. Make your account appealing, and have some much more original contents of yours. Don’t start talking about the business, build your audience around an interesting topic, not just any audience, but audiences who have purchasing power. How? Yes, you can tell by going through their profile to find out what their interests are, what do they normally share to their walls, who engages with their posts, and if possible, find out who the engagers are. This might sound a little more like the work of the investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, but it’s not. This can be best described as ‘Information gathering’ on your target audience. In as much as I believe it would not be all the people you would connect with will be interested in buying your products or require your service, but some of them might also end up getting the word out for you by sharing your contents to their followers.

You profile picture should be you and not the service you seek to render or the product you sell, but you can have a nice cover photo design which will project the services you offer or the product you sell. Don’t just put any picture as your cover photo or a profile picture. The profile picture must focus more on your face, even if it will take you to implore the services of a professional photographer like Habib Lanry . The reason is that the profile picture is the first impression, and some people might not even go to your wall first to find out whether you are worth connecting with or not, they can just accept your request to connect  or send a request to connect with you, but if the profile picture is bad, then I am sorry, you lose out on connecting the people that matter, unless friends that already knew you in real life, and as a business minded person, your major focus on social media is not to connect with people you already know you in person.

Have a time table on what you want to post on which day and at what particular time. And I will suggest that you post about general stuff three (3) times a day, morning, afternoon and evening as a newbie on social media. But if you already have that strong presence, then you can post two (2) times about your services or product and one (time) about general stuff, it could be an issue affecting the society.

Don’t do a direct sale at a go, tell people about your services or products and how different it is from other services or product. If possible offer some few people free services or the products and let them come and give testimonials on your wall and do so on their walls too.

Do not forget to always present it in a social way, since it’s social media you are using (smiles).
