All you need is a little more

A little more is what we all want, a little more sleep, little more time to spend with loved ones. a little more time during a see off of someone dear to you, a friendly chat, spending time on a playground, a vacation or a meeting of a romantic couple, we would always be happy with a little more… even a forsaken & dumped sachet of sauce turns out to be important.

I am posting this after a break of couple of weeks, I had thought of taking a break the whole month of July, to focus on completing my Novel "Haldi". I could not go beyond 5000 words, neither could I resist the temptation of getting back on the saddle to continue with the newsletter. So here it is... All you need is a little more (of patience in my case)

All you need is a little more

true, it’s painful

see off a loved one.

it’s hard, not to fidget,

seal my mind.

and to my delight

pre-boarding announces flight delay

joy see no bounds

there is… a little more time

?

little one that she is

it’s a treat to watch her

savour the sweet,

holding the bowl close

munching on the last bite

trusting & turning, a curious & inquisitive look

with a nod, i smile

yes, there is …a little more

?

trees wither... and flower

but, man’s faith disappears

if true love

lost souls meet

for universe conspires

life’s not always good

sometimes… it gets better

adding up … a little more time

?

time’s change

you will, or not

purse strings tighten

bare fridge screams.

eat pizza... without a sauce?

fumbled & found hope among strewn things on the table

forsaken, as less important

a lone sauce sachet, in a corner

?

good old college times at café table

sapped allowances

when each cent counts

annoying hunger pangs

frustration beats resistance

scanning faces for few more cent

cloudy, shaky, twinkle, danny

but sunny, with a foxy smile…

glad to know,

there is always …a little more
