All You Need to Know About Diet Success

Dear Fellow Yo-Yo Dieter,

In a recent post on Facebook a young woman who will remain nameless…..says she just graduated from high school and she wants to know how to go about becoming a healthy, strong women that is confident with her body and not afraid of the scale.

NAMELESS COACH (to save face) had an answer for her: She got an info packed response – naming all of the confusing, completely irrelevant things she should be doing, all the things she needs to cut out of diet right now AND was offered a discount on NAMELESS COACH’s program. This coach sure did use a lot of big, confusing words….

How pitiful.

The chances of meeting someone who will help you become successful at dieting without destroying your relationship with food by starting with cutting out a bunch of stuff… is .. well … its zero.

Listen: Many, if not most, of the readers of this post are already expert in various aspects of their lives and already have a handle on most of their habits and structure..

However, for the moment, I’m going to pretend that none of you are (yet) as successful as you want to be.

I’m going to pretend that all of you are just like Nameless HS Grad and you either want develop healthy relationship with food or else you want to dial in your already healthy relationship to the next level and make serious, eye-popping progress.

Where do you start? What’s the first step if you are at ground zero?

Well, it sure as hell isn’t to go to a coach throwing big words, restricting your intake and throwing supplements at you! No. The very first step is to become grounded in the basic and enduring principles that are the foundation of every successful habit modification effort.

And, the way you do this is by repairing your relationship with food from the ground up with Dr Kashey’s 5 Step Food Frameshift Method.

And, trust me on this: You should not read any other books or consult anybody else until you have been through the Frameshift course at least once and preferably, the material three or four times. In fact, Dr Kashey’s partners and staff at RD recommend an entire year set aside for this course/program.

I can’t disagree. And the reason you should go through this particular content several times, before you read or study anything else is, it will give you a hard-core, bedrock foundation of truth that will make it difficult for other authors and coaches who are “pretend experts” to lead you astray with their “silly notions” about what makes “dieting” work.

Unfortunately, most people who write about (or teach) nutrition courses aren’t just wrong… they are dangerous. You see, most of these coaches and/or teachers aren’t players, they are simply B.S. artists who’ve managed to con their way through life without ever having to back their ideas with their own money and…

Beware, young woman. You’d better be careful of what you read and to whom you listen because, if you are not first grounded in the bedrock fundamentals, you can end up bewildered, broke and hopelessly disillusioned.

(Sounds familiar?… like… the almost entire fitness industry…?)

If you sign up for…or even review the FREE material Dr Kashey and Relentless Dietetics has put out….

So many lightbulbs will be going off in your head, those around you will be making a mad dash for sunglasses.

Does that sound self-serving to you? I suppose it is in a way. But counterbalance it with this: I have a fire in my belly to teach the truth and to do what I can to “contain the damage” that is being done by so many fitness morons who pass themselves off as “experts”.

Enough. Enough. Enough. Enough.

Ok, now, let’s say you’ve read, reviewed and interacted with all the material and courses I’ve thus far recommended and you are now grounded in the basic realities of what makes nutrition, habits and structure…. The “Frameshift” work. What’s the next step? Simply this:

You Must Heighten Your Awareness

Of What’s Working For You….Now!

Fundamentals never change but current variations of how to best use those fundamentals are something you must always stay on top of. In other words: It’s not enough to know what “enough” is. Your goals, your maintenance and what you need is always a moving goal post.

Life changes – you need to have a plan but also know how to self correct when life happens.

And so forth.

And here’s how you keep current: You must immediately begin to systematically monitor all variables you can control. Sleep, meal timing structure, stress, etc. These things also change over time.

Collect as much information/feedback as possible. You don’t have to use it but, if you build the collection into your daily routines it will not take any extra time and you will at least have it! (You don’t want to need it and not have it)

So the first steps to eating what you want, when you want and loving life the entire time?

1. Ground yourself in the fundamentals.

2. Heighten your awareness of “What’s Working For YOU Now”.

3. Collect Feedback Constantly. This = learning

And there’s more. What I’m about to give you is the most important piece of advice you will ever get concerning this particular subject.

Do this: After you have “captured” a bit of motivation to start making a change in your life (I want my knees to stop hurting and I am ready to spend Disney with my family without running out of breath and being the mom/dad that can’t keep up!”)

Write down EXACTLY what you want. Dig deep and write it down. And then, mail it to my office. Seriously. Write down what you want to change. Put it in an envelope – take it to the post office and mail it to 420 1st street unit 6, Vero Beach Fl 32962.

Then, immediately start tracking everything you eat. Don’t change anything, just start tracking it.

What? Aren’t we going to wait until we have a plan and some parameters and direction, first? Don’t i need to fine tune WHAT I am going to eat before I start this new plan? No. NO! NO! NO! NO! This is how you learn to make changes. You don’t wait for anything. It is movement that produces expertise and more movement. NOT meditation.

Come closer. Listen, I swear this is true: There is something that happens on a cellular level, something that indelibly imprints itself on your being, some kind of neural knowledge that can only be achieved by physically doing the mailing all by yourself.

Sound crazy? Too unsophisticated for a smart cookie like you?

Than don’t do it.

Do what you have always done and get what you have always gotten. =)
