Be All You Are
Andrew Pepar
The impacts of COVID, AI, climate change, and polarisation shape our world. In this complexity, human trust and connection is paramount. We need leaders with empathy, who work in partnership, to create shared value.
When you go to work each day, what parts of you come with you?
For many people, they decide to leave aspects of themselves out of each moment.
This is your choice. Conditioning plays a part but you decide whether you accept yourself or not.
For example, you may have once been told that in meetings the way to behave is to use a formal voice, only talk about safe topics, and to act in a reserved way. Or you may have noticed others do that and modelled it for yourself.
It is the process of not integrating or accepting the different parts of us that leads us to accept the beliefs or conditioning that we learn around us.
Here's another example: You have a great idea to improve something, however you hold back because you are junior or new to the role and you've noticed people get shot down previously.
I am not giving you permission to say whatever comes into your mind, or for CLA's "career limiting moves" to become your go to move.
This is an internal process of acceptance of all of you. You can then use your own discernment to decide what to say and how to say it?for the audience in front of you.
We want all of you at work. It is ourselves that hold ourselves back.
Free yourself for the sake of our future.
