All work, no play, death of creativity and a dull day

This last few days has been a hilarious online debate on what does an ideal work day range from. I call it hilarious because if I took it more seriously, I would have catastrophic proportion of disassociation from reality. My mind took me straight to the other meme doing rounds in response which said- I wish AI would do my chores and laundry so that I could live and create productively.

So amongst all the information overload that we are subjected to in recent times, my favourite one to latch on to is the desire to see and live for what it is. To experience it in its originality and with people which would be that would be quite impossible if we spent more than half of our waking hours at work. For the simple reason that one would have no time for play, emotionally or physically, and without play, humans stop evolving, no matter how little or slow.

Our design studio is set up entirely on the mission to set up homes that free you to practice building creativity as a skill, not because we are aiming for a prize, but simply because it fetches us joy, and makes us soulful. We'd like to leave you to figure out whether or not you want to work 90 hours a week or not, but if you do choose to be free to nurture your relationships, getting your creatives juices up and running in the process, starting within your family and continuing in the community that you live within by connecting with people rather than a donation, here are 5 things you can do at zero prep time notice :

1) Family potluck : Cooking is a lifeskill and at can be as simple or complex you want to make it and making a meal is one of the most gratifying and humbling experience for any one who has experienced it. Not only is it a fine chance to discover quirks about an individual on what they like or dislike, its also a fun to train for that fun winter picnic you may want to go for.

2) Karaoke times : No better way to loosen up and unwind than to belt out your favourite numbers.

3) Nature walk or drive : its the moments that make up a life worth remembering. Juat pick up and leave for that special hour because your laundry and dishes are already figured out tonight.

4) Drama club : The art of make believe used to be a rich source of taxing our selves n childhood games, it still can be enriching and fun exercise in your colony or society. Who knows, you might discover talents that had no room before.

5) Trade how-do-I-do-that stories : Schools and systems have been made robust in sending the message to be self-reliant, but the tough ones know its not easy to ask for help either. While most families, acquaintances are averse to idle chit chat or small talk, trading stories on everyday things not being able get a tie knot right, resolve awkward situations in school, or even a child's insight on how to choose the right flavour for a party can be intriguing and stuff of memories over years.

Just like buying the best car is never enough, you got to keep it fueled up and serviced, the best designed homes will continue to inspire and nurture only when you- the occupants are remain so. So, Stay Inspired.
