All is NOT well!!

We all feel discouraged at times. Sometimes we feel as though we are at the end of our proverbial ropes with bad leadership or abusive relationships. Sometimes no matter how hard we try, or how much we cry, we just can’t seem to get ahead. There just doesn’t seem to be a way for us to find our way forward. Fortunately, there is no good incentive to allow this kind of pessimism and despair to have their way with our lives. You don’t get a prize for letting pain and agony run amuck. Although it may seem like it does when you talk to some of your friends and colleagues, there is no trophy for whining or wallowing in sorrow. All you get from this kind of discouragement is more feelings of impossibility, inadequacy, and lack. If you are not careful, this feeling will log itself into your systems, stealing much-needed sustenance causing atrophy and death sooner than later. 

There might be obstacles that are placed before you on purpose or even by someone else. There might be deterrents that you find that seem to not be a bother to others but have specifically sought you out. Surely because you are human you will face, pessimism and disappointment, sometimes from those that may have once been huge fans of yours and even worse when it comes from your own internal doubts and fears. Don’t you wish that a solution to these kinds of problems would just show up at your door?

Imagine this.

You are sitting alone at your home enjoying a luxurious pity party about your situation when you hear. Knock, knock, knock! 

You open the door to:

Hi, I was in the neighborhood when I noticed that a terrible dark cloud seems to be hanging over your house. Usually, that’s a sign that people may need my service. Would you mind if I asked you a few quick questions just to see if what we do might be a good fit for you? That’s Great!

Would you like the assistance of someone that had all of the power and resources to take care of you? Would you be able to enjoy the sustenance needed to maintain the total health and well-being of you and your family? Would you mind if someone helped you to identify and secure the proper funding or sponsorship for your existing programs? If someone with a phenomenal reputation and outstanding credibility was to share their resources in such a way as to assist you in the verification that your hope and dreams are the right ones, would you find that useful? Would their endorsement of your progress carry the kind of meaning that provides a basis for your resiliency? Will any of this help you stand strong once again? Because you’ve answered yes to all of the survey questions it seems as if you are qualified for our A++ Premium VIP Superstar Service Package. Would you mind if I come in and explain to you how it would work?

Ok then, here’s what we are going to do. We are just going to take some of that awful weight that you’ve insisted on carrying all alone for all of these years! Then we are going to subsidize you against all of your worries with love and compassion. Whatever problems you are facing just point them out, then stand behind my sword and shield and we will slay those dragons together. You won’t have to worry about your honor or reputation because you can borrow mine or if you prefer, I could be your silent partner behind the scenes. It’s totally up to you but, if you lean on me, I will establish you and make sure that you have a solid foundation. I will have your back. I will be your advocate and your biggest cheerleader. Just ask and I will not deny you. Oh, by the way, my friends call me, SUPPORT!

That’s right, I’ll give you everything that you need, and I’ll always be there for you but just in case there is an issue, I want you to know that I’m bringing my two siblings with me and they are the best at what they do. Their names are, CONFIDENCE and HOPE. Together we are an unstoppable force that makes up the entire family of ENCOURAGEMENT Inc. You see, my brother CONFIDENCE is a serious player. I mean, he is really a force to be reckoned with. When he is around, I can promise you that everything will go a lot smoother. He brings with him unshakable self-reliance that will allow you to accomplish all that you set out to achieve. He will help you stay calm, cool, and collected in the face of any obstacle. This way, you can think about the situation correctly and perform at an amazingly high level. My boy specializes in conviction and faith, so you don’t ever have to worry about getting started or putting your best foot forward. With him, you’ll never have to concern yourself with uncertainty or ambiguity. Armed with strength, courage, and wisdom, he always knows exactly what to do and how to do it. He’ll help you to choose the right projects and get involved in such a way as to validate your strengths and encourage your growth. Is that cool or what?

Now, my little sister - she is the youngest, but she is probably the most impressive of us all. If I’m being honest, HOPE can do all of that my brother and I do but with so much more grace and style. The bottom line is that HOPE is the protector of your right now as well as your future. She can help you realize that you, just like everyone else, have many paths laid out in front of you that all lead to greatness. She alone can help you to anticipate good things and keep optimism firmly within your grasp. She can take your obvious potential and give it the boost that only promise and possibility have to share with you. You can’t help but be excited when HOPE is on the scene because with her you can see all of your dreams fulfilled. With her, your greatest anticipations can receive the focus and preparations needed to make everything happen. This is because she is both desire and motivation in one powerful little package. 

Now the only reason that I am talking to you today is that I know that our distant cousin DISCOURAGEMENT lives with you and he rears his ugly head maybe too often.  For some reason, he just seems to be built into the foundations of a lot of homes in this neighborhood. We’ve found him in the walls, under the floorboards, and in the pipes! Sometimes he gets into the air ducts an infects the atmosphere affecting your entire family, without your permission.  I can tell he’s in here not just because of dark cloud seems to linger over your entire house, as I said before. I can see his residue on you right now!!  Now, I don’t know if you need my entire team or just one of us. No matter what, we can beat down, despair and pessimism. We can annihilate obstacles or impediments that stand in your way. In fact, we can help you to throw caution to the wind and get on about the business of moving forward in your life. We’ve been doing our jobs now for at least a few million years and we’ve got all of the kinks worked out of this thing. If you need a reference, no problem. Just ask any successful person that you know. We’ve helped them all to get where they are today.
